KikumiKyo Guide
A step-by-step guide for platform admins onboarding a new savings group, SACCO, or VSLA onto Kikumi Kyo.
Creating an organization in Kikumi Kyo is the first step to bringing your savings group, SACCO, or VSLA online. This guide walks through the platform admin onboarding flow.
Only platform super-admins can create organizations. If you are a treasurer or chairperson, ask your platform admin to create the organization and invite you.
Before you begin, have the following ready:
Sign in as a super-admin and navigate to Organizations → Onboard organization. You'll see a form asking for the organization's details.
Fill in:
Enter the email of the person who will be the organization admin. They'll receive an invitation to set up their account and authenticator.
The first admin must enroll an authenticator (TOTP or passkey) before they can access the workspace. This is a security requirement — no authenticator, no access.
Once the organization is created, Kikumi Kyo automatically provisions:
Provisioning is idempotent — if it fails, you can re-run it from Organizations → [id] → Provision without duplicating data.
The invited admin receives an email, sets up their account, enrolls an authenticator, and lands in the workspace dashboard. From there they can invite members, configure products, and start recording financial activity.
